Tubes for pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic products can be constructed from a variety of materials, including aluminum, plastic, and multi-layer tubing for higher barrier properties such as aluminum lined or EVOH. Aluminum tubes are sealed using double or triple fold technology. Plastic tubes are sealed using heat and trimmed for the perfect crimp. Both plastic and foil tubes have double-sided lot and expiration date embossing to reassure consumers at the point of purchase and manage Quality Control issues.
Tubes can be customized for orifice size, cap style and color, and puncture preferences. They can be pre-printed or hand labeled for pilot and smaller commercial production runs. Once filled, the tubes can be individually cartoned or packed off in a variety of options to help communicate value and boost sales. MPL's extensive contract packaging services include in-house graphic artists which can help customers create a unique packaging design.
